Selective timber harvesting involves thinning out larger diameter trees as well as dead and diseased trees to make room for new growth. This type of harvest allows the landowner to harvest again in 10 to 15 years. It can be performed on land over five acres.


Selective timber harvesting also improves an existing forested property and provides revenue to landowners through the marketing and sales of forest products including saw logs, firewood, and whole tree chips. No job is too large or too small.
